Travis Ronk


Travis has learned through personal experience that the power of yoga is a transformative tool to spark the potential in everyone. Kiteboarder, windsurfer, mountain biker and ski instructor, Travis started coping with low back pain when he turned 30. Today, Travis is pain-free and a  practitioner with a well established practice. Travis has been teacher-trained through YogaFit Teacher Training Systems, and the Baron Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga Institute.


Stephanie Adams


Sharing the awareness, acceptance and transformation the practice of yoga brings to our lives inspires and fulfills Stephanie.  She has seen in others, and experienced herself, that regular practice inspires one to greater health, balance and joy.  Stephanie has been practicing hatha yoga for 13 years. Prior to that, she was learning about the yogic life through studying universal spiritual principles and philosophy.  

Stephanie writes Yoga Alliance-approved Teacher Training Manuals, including sections on philosophy, asana, chakras, anatomy, kinesiology, communication, adjusting/assisting, principles of alignment, YogaFit Kids, and more. She appears with her two daughters in the YogaFit Kids video/DVD, and in the YF Level One Training DVD, and has appeared several times on Seattle’s Q13 Morning News show as a yoga resource. In addition to Stephanie’s yoga background, she holds numerous fitness certifications, including ACE's Personal Trainer Certificate. She has a B.S. from W.S.U., and is certified through BodyMind Academy as a Fitness and Nutrition Consultant. 

Stephanie has been a featured presenter at ACSM, NIRSA, TSI Summit, NW YogaFest, DCAC, Spinning, IDEA, and numerous YogaFit MindBody Fitness Conferences. She is registered as a 200-hr ERYT and 500 hr RYT with Yoga Alliance. She has been teacher-trained through S. Jayakumar of Mysore, India, Baron Baptiste Power Vinyasa, YogaFit, and has been inspired by workshops and trainings with many more great teachers.


Sybil Nance


Sybil brings her spunk and enthusiasm into each and every class she teaches. Sybil knows that her yoga practice has changed how she views herself and others Using the Asana as a vehicle to lead us through a journey of yogic philosophy expressed in words we can understand and integrate each day. Sybil’s unique gift is to teach with great care and integrity so her students can openly and safely explore and navigate deeper into their practice. Sybil teaches with a keen eye to observe and offer modifications to meet all body types, physical conditions as well as recognizing emotional needs of the class. These classes are a journey of exploration through the physical, mental, and emotional bodies. Sybil is E-RYT certified in Vinyasa Flow / Sybil also works with Local Teen athletic teams developing Yoga based dry-land training programs.


Jennifer FitzSimons


Jennifer enjoys many styles of yoga and likes to share an eclectic mix with her students. Experiencing union of mind, body and spirit is the focus in her classes.  Jen hopes to extend the practice of yoga beyond the mat into a way of life, all day, every day. She believes that the goal of the practice is to experience connection to the Divine Self. And that this unity with self, leads to unity with others and the earth.  Peace within...Peace out!


Jody Seaborn


Jody started practicing yoga as a complimentary exercise for her many outdoor activities and found something much greater, a deep understanding of the power of interconnected breath and movement and their potential to nurture and heal the body, mind, and spirit. It is this interconnection and the resulting calm abiding sense of peace that Jody seeks to nurture within her students through her teaching. 

Jody continues to practice different styles of yoga, seeking to learn from many lineages and teachers integrating this into her own practice and teaching.  She has been teaching for the past five years and is currently teaching both Sivananda and Flow Vinyasa classes. Jody emphazises breath and alignment and the harmony between strength, flexibility, and balance in each of her classes.



Jennifer Wilson


Jen  brings her love and enthusiasm for the outdoors to every class she teaches. She is an avid cyclist - both on and offroad. An experienced and certified fitness professional, Jen teaches Cycle Training classes at Flow.


Laurie Van Cott


Laurie was introduced to yoga as a teenager and learned early on about it's benefits as it helped her with her back pain from scoliosis and tension headaches. Laurie's love for yoga and it's therapeutic aspects lead her to choose a career in physical therapy where she shares its healing abilities with others. Her teaching style is a blend of yoga influences grounded in a studied knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics. She loves the challenge of encouraging people to find the ability to move within their bodies without overwelming them with medical terminology, and she welcomes the gift to guide others to build spirit and determination in themselvesa


Jennifer Puff


Jenn brings a beautiful balance of Indian traditional training and Western principles of alignment to her vinyasa Flow and Astanga classes. She is also a certified Ayurvedic pracititioner.


Christina Sproule


Christina's focus is on healing the body, the mind and spirit through thoughtful precise movement to promote better balance,  alignment and awakening. She chooses to break down faulty movement patterns and integrate breathe and subtle movement to bring the body into a better pattern of health.   She is a Certified Rehabilitation Pilates Practitioner( Polestar )and works within the Physical Therapy field.   Her desire is to let people experience their bodies with less pain more balance and more energy and to  take that new found strength connection and alignment to all their activities.   

Although she is Certified in the Tradional Pilates Method (The Method), she does not follow this practice rigidly and prefers to modify most exercises for the specific class. She loves to learn and is currently working on another Rehab Certification through Stott Pilates.



Virginia Thomas


Virginia has over 18 years of experience in the health and fitness field.  She is a certified Pilates instructor, Professional Personal Fitness Trainer, Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant and Massage Therapist.  Her experience ranges from working with Bodybuilders in the 80’s to the Canadian Olympic mountain biking team in the 90’s. In the 2000’s she was a partner at The Atlantic Avenue Pilates Studio in Delray Beach Florida before moving to the Hood River area where she has recently opened a pilates studio. Her clients range from in athletic abilities such as windsurfers, mountain bikers, and skiers to those of varying ages seeking rehabilitation from lower back, neck and shoulder pain.

She is interested in all aspects of the body, mind and soul. She believes that each one alone does not or is not the definition of a healthy person. To become a truly fit person each individual must determine where those imbalances are and negotiate a lifestyle that will bring them to that state of holistic balance.


Meredith Holcomb


Meredith has been attracted to a life of spirituality from an early age which has inspired her to continually seek out the meaning of her connection to Spirit. It was a very natural progression when the practice of yoga was introduced to her. The magical experience of becoming consciously awakened and integrated through the physical into the metaphysical fact that ALL is One ignited Meredith’s commitment to study and practice yoga full time. Her passion for sharing the transformational practices of yoga is expressed directly through her warm and creative teaching. Meredith believes the wisdom that resides in Yoga radiantly reveals Life as possibility and brings us back to the Truth of who we are!


Alex Sosnkowski


Alex has been loving and practicing Hot Yoga for years. Teaching became a natural progression as her practice evolved. We are glad to welcome Alex, as an apprentice, to our Hot 26 Teaching Team.


Patricia Martin Bunch


Patricia is a sports enthusiast.  Her greatest passions are for kiteboarding, snowboarding, and on the top of her list, yoga.  Patricia has been a practitioner and certified teacher of Bikram Yoga for over 10 years.  Most recently she attended a Baron Baptiste yoga teacher training.  Currently Patricia teaches and practices a variety of styles.  Her passion, enthusiasm, and love of yoga are present in both her teaching and her practice.  Patricia believes, for everyone, a consistent yoga practice makes life, quite simply, better.

Stacy Birdsall


We welcome our newest Cycle Instructor, Stacy, a fabulously fit and fun, P.E. Teacher from Hood River Middle School with a wealth of experience and knowledge on and off the bike.


Julia Jones


  Julia began her appreciation for the mind/body connection as a swimmer for the University of Notre Dame.  "With a focused mind, we can excel in sports, relieve stress, and find success in our lives."  Julia worked as a case manager in health care for almost 20 years and has seen the benefit of yoga for patients in recovery, for people with disabilities, and for the elderly. "Physical yoga poses can be modified to meet the needs of every body type.  Everyone from elite athletes to great-grandmothers can benefit from a yoga practice." 
 
Julia enjoys windsurfing, skiing, and other outdoor Gorge activities. She is a registered yoga instructor with the Yoga Alliance (RYT 200) and received her teacher training through YogaFit.



Melissa Vovou


A professional dancer, Melissa has been trained in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Adagio and other styles and is currently an Adage/Dancer for Carnival Cruise Lines.

She discovered Pilates years ago, before it became a household word, after sustaining a dance related injury. She found it’s balancing affects on the body to be extremely helpful for both healing and preventing further injuries.

Melissa hopes to help others, whether they are dancers, serious athletes or simply people looking to live a healthy active lifestyle, to find an easier way of moving, through Pilates, by using core strength and improving flexibility.


Linda McKay


Linda is a certified personal trainer and fitness educator since 1982.  She is A.F.A.A. certified in personal training, group fitness, step, precision cycling, heart zones cycling and heart zones personal trainer. In 1993 she became a national consultant and workshop provider and traveled to certify fitness professionals as well as presenting functional fitness workshops nationwide.  She was a fitness specialist and Group fitness director in Seattle for several fitness centers as well as working at the Pro-club where she received additional training in personal training program design.  She did a cardiac rehab program for seniors as well as Silver sneakers for group health. She lectured and presented extensive training programs and classes at Green River College and was a featured presenter for workout for hope in Seattle. She has attended many workshops for continuing education to keep well informed and to learn new cutting edge techniques.  She teaches a broad variety of group fitness classes as well as working one on one with clients.


Adi Paul Marino


Adi is trained in traditional Hatha Yoga and complements this with Iyengar principles and practice.  He has studied many disciplines (including Shamanism, Zen, Ayurveda, and Advaita) with various Masters and lives a life devoted to Love and service to the Divine.  He began practicing a yogic lifestyle five years ago as a way to live in alignment with truth and awareness.  It is his experience that utilizing yogic practices such as asana, pranayama, and meditation is a powerful support to living life awake, healthy, and free


Julie Wilson


 Julie began her yoga practice in 2004 when Flow Yoga opened its doors to the Hood River community. She immediately fell in love with a Vinyasa style practice and has enjoyed attending classes and learning from a variety of teachers at Flow. She loves road bike riding, as well as mountain biking, hiking and running with her dogs. Julie has always enjoyed teaching what she loves to do. She has experience teaching tap dance, spinning and now yoga. Julie is a Flow apprentice instructor and is working toward her RYT 200 certification through Yogafit teacher training systems.



Kay Floria


Kay participated in her first yoga class in 1980 while pregnant with her first child.  Raising kids, her career and the lack of yoga classes in the area side tracked her practice for the next 22 years.  In 2002 she began anew and has developed a dedicated practice over the last five years. Her desire to share her love of and devotion to yoga with others led her to begin Yogafit Teacher Training in 2004.  She recently completed 200 hours of training and is in the process of registering with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher.  “Stepping onto my yoga mat is like a mini retreat and a refuge for me. Yoga has brought so much into my life. I feel honored to be able to share that with others.”


Sara Segal


Sarah has been practicing yoga for over ten years. However, it was not until moving to The Gorge for the excitement of the outdoors that she discovered the pleasures of daily yoga practice indoors.  She has decided to become more active in the yogic art of breathing and learning, by becoming a Hot 26 Apprentice.  She reminds herself daily of Bikram's philosophy, "Life doesn't give you what you want - it gives you what you need."


Sheila Schmid


Sheila started practicing yoga in 1985 as an undergraduate at Western Washington University. She began her professional counseling career and continued to practice a full variety of yoga forms including ashtanga, vinyasa, and Bikram. After 10 years of full-time work as a mental health consultant, she decided to further solidify her education as a yoga teacher and researched a variety of trainings/schools, including the Bikram Yoga Teacher Training program in L.A. in the Fall of 2000. 

She is dedicated to improving the lives of her students, her clients, and the communities in which she lives. She is also dedicated to the interconnectedness of each person's mental, physical, and spiritual health. Sheila brings Love, experience, service, and enthusiasm to the mat.



Trish Kepple


Trish, although new to yoga instruction, has been a health and fitness
enthusiast throughout her life.  She began undergraduate work in
physical therapy, finished with a psychology degree, and then sought to
combine the two fields by becoming a Massage Therapist.  She has worked
in massage for almost 9 years, concentrating in therapeutic,
rehabilitative, and prenatal bodywork.  Trish began practicing yoga 7
years ago, and especially appreciated its benefits through two
pregnancies.  Now seeking to enhance her personal and professional
mind-body-spirit wellness, she is thrilled to be involved with the Pre-
and Post- Natal Flow yoga classes.  Trish is instructor trained through
YogaFit, and is planning on completing the Yoga Alliance 200 RYT
program and ACE's personal trainer certification within the next year.



Jessica Robinson





Savannah Adams-Ronk


Savannah has been doing yoga since she was a baby.  She is featured in the YogaFit Kids DVD and KidCards, and has been assisting and teaching YogaFit Kids for 4 years now.  She developed the YogaFit Kids program with her mom, Stephanie, and last summer assisted and attended the YogaFit Kids Teacher Training.
